Cube Root Calculator
Find the cube root of a number.
Worth Knowing
Unlike the square root, the cube root is defined for negative numbers — the cube root of −27 is −3, because a negative times a negative times a negative stays negative. Every real number therefore has exactly one real cube root. Cube roots appear naturally wherever volume scales into length: doubling a cube's volume requires multiplying each side by the cube root of 2, roughly 1.26, not by 2.
