Exponent Calculator
Raise a base to a power.
Worth Knowing
An exponent is repeated multiplication, and a few rules explain most of its surprises: any nonzero number to the power 0 is 1, and a negative exponent means a reciprocal, so 2⁻³ is 1/8. Fractional exponents represent roots — x^(1/2) is the square root. Exponentiation grows staggeringly fast, which is why compound interest, population growth, and computing power are all described in exponential terms rather than linear ones.
How to Use
- Enter Base into the first field of the Exponent Calculator.
