Zakat & Ushr Calculator

Zakat & Ushr Calculator works out whether Zakat is due on your wealth (using a live gold- or silver-based nisab you can override) or Ushr is due on your harvested produce (with the correct 10%, 5%, or 7.5% rate for the irrigation type) — with a full breakdown at every step.

Nisab auto-calculated from the live silver spot price. Enter a value on the right to override it with your own community/scholar's figure.

Use the Gold/Silver Price Checker to find current value.

How to Use

  1. Switch between Zakat on Wealth and Ushr on Produce.
  2. For Zakat: pick a nisab standard (or enter your own), fill in your assets and debts, and confirm whether a lunar year has passed.
  3. For Ushr: enter the quantity and value of your harvest and the irrigation type.
  4. See a clear applicable/not-applicable result with the exact amount due.

Formula

Zakat

Zakat = 2.5% × (Total zakatable assets − Debts due), once net wealth ≥ nisab for one full lunar year.

Ushr

Ushr = 10% (natural irrigation), 5% (artificial irrigation), or 7.5% (mixed) × harvest value, above the ~653kg nisab (per most schools).
